There is news of 12 Naxalites being killed in an encounter between police and Naxalites in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra on Wednesday. The encounter lasted for more than 6 hours. After the encounter was over, the bodies of 12 Naxalites were recovered. During this time, the police have recovered 7 automotive weapons including 3 AK47, 2 INSAS, 1 carbine, 1 SLR. Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis has announced a reward of Rs 51 lakh to the policemen for this success.
