Was CBSE’s On-Screen Marking (OSM) website really hacked? There was a stir among the students after the claim of an ethical hacker. Although the board has rejected this claim, the absurd statement of a senior CBSE official has sparked a new debate on social media.
When CBSE Regional Head Rajesh Kumar Gupta was asked a question on this hacking, he gave such an answer that you will also hold your head after hearing it. He said that “If the exams were conducted in pen-paper i.e. offline mode, then the question of the website being hacked does not arise.” After his statement, the board is being criticized heavily on social media. Users are raising serious questions on their technical knowledge and the level of the country’s education department.
