Hyderabad Custom Department foiled an attempt to secretly bring gold from abroad. The matter is of Rajiv Gandhi International Airport RGI. Here two passengers have been arrested on charges of gold smuggling. These people were bringing gold paste worth Rs 3.36 crore hidden in jeans. According to sources, officials of the Air Intelligence Unit of Customs, based on accurate information received from ‘Advanced Passenger Information System’ (APIS) and information received from ‘Directorate of Revenue Intelligence’ (DRI), stopped both Indian passengers from Kuala Lumpur to Hyderabad for search.
