US Iran War Latest News Updates Today Live: The death toll from overnight US air attacks on Iran has risen to eight, Iran’s state-run IRNA news agency reported on Friday. The strikes targeted southern coastal areas and islands, including Bandar-e-Khamir, where three bridges near the city were hit, along with locations in Ahvaz, Qeshm, Bushehr, Dashti, Bostan, Sirik, and Bandar-e-Lengeh.

The US strikes also targeted road and railway infrastructure in Hormozgan province, while an airport in Iranshahr was hit, causing damage and power outages. Airstrikes were also reported on Kish Island, leading to temporary power disruptions in some areas.

US Central Command (CENTCOM) said its latest operation, which concluded at dawn on Friday, hit dozens of Iranian military targets, including coastal surveillance sites, air defence systems, military logistics infrastructure, and maritime capabilities. Iran, meanwhile, launched missile and drone attacks targeting US military bases and allied countries in the region.
