Aditi Chhaparia, a native of Uttar Pradesh, has made headlines with her extraordinary UPSC journey. She cleared the Civil Services Examination 2023 on her very first attempt but remained unsatisfied with the post allotted to her.
Determined to aim higher, she appeared once again in 2024 and secured an All India Rank of 97. In a move that has drawn considerable attention, she chose the Indian Foreign Service over the IAS, marking a notable milestone in her career.
A Journey Marked By Academic Excellence
Aditi’s journey to becoming an IFS officer is equally compelling. She excelled academically from a young age. She topped her state in Class 10 Board examinations, and in Class 12 Boards, she became India’s third-rank holder with an outstanding score of 99.5%.
Born into a well-known business family in Sant Kabir Nagar district, UP, she received unwavering support from her parents, Ashish and Seema Chhaparia.
Foundation Of Her Dreams
She studied up to Class 8 at Little Flower School in Gorakhpur and later moved to Rajasthan for her secondary schooling at Mayo College Girls’ School, Ajmer. After completing her schooling, Aditi shifted to Delhi to pursue her graduation at Shri Ram College of Commerce.
It was during her college years that she decided to prepare for the civil services.
Two Attempts, One Goal
Her first attempt in 2023 earned her a place in the Indian Railway Protection Force Service (IRPFS). However, with a bigger dream in mind, she began preparing once again with renewed focus. Her persistence paid off when she secured the 97th rank in 2024 and was selected for the IFS.
Aditi believes that significant achievements are never sudden. According to her, consistent hard work, focus, and unwavering commitment to one’s goals form the true foundation of success.
