UPSC Civil Services Final Result 2025: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the final result of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025 on March 6, 2026. The result marks the completion of the selection process after the Personality Test stage and confirms appointments to some of the country’s top administrative services.
A total of 958 candidates have been shortlisted for services including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS) and other Group A and Group B central government posts.
Anuj Agnihotri has secured All India Rank (AIR) 1 in the examination. Along with the final result, UPSC has also released the list of top performers. The top 10 candidates include Rajeshwari Suve, Akansh Dhull, Raghav Jhunjhunwala and Ishan Bhatnagar, among others. These candidates secured the highest marks based on their combined scores in the written mains examination and the Personality Test.
Personality Test Conducted At Dholpur House
The Personality Test round, which carries 275 marks, was conducted at the UPSC headquarters at Dholpur House on Shahjahan Road in New Delhi. The interviews began in January 2026.
Unlike the written examination, the interview stage does not have a minimum qualifying mark. Final rankings are prepared by combining the marks obtained in the Mains written examination and the Personality Test.
Candidates who performed consistently in both stages have secured higher positions in the merit list.
How To Download UPSC CSE Final Result 2025 PDF?
Candidates can check and download the result by visiting the official website, upsc.gov.in, and opening the Civil Services Examination result section. The final merit list is available for download in PDF format. Candidates are advised to keep a printed copy of the result for future reference and verification procedures.
979 Vacancies Announced For 2025 Cycle
For the 2025 recruitment cycle, UPSC had announced 979 vacancies across various services. Out of these, 38 posts are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities.
The reserved vacancies include
12 for blindness and low vision
7 for hearing impairment
10 for locomotor disabilities
9 for multiple disabilities
Service Allocation After Final Result
After the declaration of the result, UPSC will send its recommendations to the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) for service allocation. The allocation of services will depend on rank, category reservation and preferences submitted by candidates in the Detailed Application Form (DAF-II).
Selected candidates will then undergo training at different academies.
IAS officers will train at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie.
IPS officers will undergo training at the National Police Academy in Hyderabad.
IFS officers will attend diplomatic training programmes in New Delhi.
The probation period generally lasts two years, during which candidates receive practical training in governance and administration.
