The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has announced a recruitment drive for a total of 4542 vacancies for Sub Inspector and equivalent posts. This includes positions in Civil Police, PAC, UP SSF, and Mahila PAC Corps. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates aspiring to join and serve in the UP Police.

UP Police SI Vacancy: Available Posts
Civil Police: 4242 posts of Sub Inspector.
PAC: 135 posts of Platoon Commander (equivalent to Sub Inspector).
UP SSF: 60 posts of Platoon Commander (equivalent to Sub Inspector).
Women PAC Corps: 106 posts of Women Platoon Commander (equivalent to Sub Inspector) in Badaun, Lucknow, and Gorakhpur.
UP Police SI Recruitment 2025: Age Limit Relaxation
All categories of candidates will receive a three-year age relaxation for this recruitment. This relaxation is a one-time provision to encourage more applicants.
UP Police Recruitment: How To Apply?
All candidates must complete a One Time Registration (OTR) before applying. The OTR process began on July 31, 2025, and over 350,000 candidates have already registered. OTR is free and available on the official UP Police Recruitment Board website.
Applications are accepted online only. The application form will capture a live photo of the candidate. Biometric information (photo, fingerprint, and iris) will be recorded at all stages, and E-KYC via Aadhar card is mandatory.
UP Police Recruitment 2025: Selection Process
The selection process involves multiple stages. Candidates must first pass a written examination assessing their basic abilities and knowledge. Subsequently, there will be document verification and a physical standard test (DV/PST), which includes checking documents and assessing physical parameters.
Physical ability will be evaluated in the physical test. If a candidate is found using steroids, stimulants, or narcotics during the physical test, their candidature will be cancelled immediately, and legal action will be taken.
