100 to 150 people are still missing in Dharali, they may be buried in debris.
The first phase of removing people trapped in the disaster in Dharali village of Uttarakhand is almost complete. More than 650 tourists and devotees who have gone to Gangotri have been evacuated in Harshil Valley.
The Army and NDRF team have started searching for people buried under the rubble from Friday. For this, the army is using advanced penitting radar. With this, people buried in the ground can be traced without digging.
The penitrating radar sends a high frequency radio wave under the ground, where it describes soil, stone, metal and bones through different colors. Through this, people or bodies trapped up to 20-30 feet below the ground can be identified.
The cloudburst at Dharali in Uttarkashi district at 1.45 pm on August 5. Kheer Ganga river flooded. The debris, which came with high speed water, had landed the village of Dharali in 34 seconds. So far 5 deaths have been confirmed. 70 people have been rescued. Still 100 to 150 people are missing, they may be buried in debris.

- Internet service starts- Three days later, mobile and internet connectivity has resumed in areas with incidents. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said- Airtel service has started, which will speed up rescue work. Roads between Dharali, Harshil and Uttarkashi are still broken or closed. There is no electricity either.
- Bailey Bridge will be built in 2 days: CM Dhami has been brought to a generator in Uttarkashi. It will be sent to Dharali village. Construction of a belly bridge at Linchcha Gad near Gangnani has started. It will be ready in two days.
ISRO released satellite photos, helping in rescue operation
The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) issued a statement saying that the Cartosat-2S satellite clicked the first and after the photo of the accident. Which helped a lot in running a rescue operation after the tragedy.

The debris of 20 to 50 feet is spread over 80 acres of Dharali. There are only 3 JCB machines to remove it. To search for people buried under the debris, hi -tech thermal sensing equipment and large machines are required, but all of them have been stuck for 2 days due to not opening the way in Bhatwadi, 60 km away.
There is only one road from Uttarkashi to Gangotri, which passes through Dharali. The 3 km road from Harshil to Dharali has ended at 4 places from 100 to 150 meters. Landslide and a bridge are broken at three places from Bhatwadi to Harshil. In such a situation, it can take 3-4 days to open the road till Dharali.
Work is going on on the road leading to Dharali. Relief and rescue work will be accelerated when the path is cured.
