In the results released by the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council, two girl students from Bareilly have made it to the top-3 list of the state. Nandini Gupta of Jankalyan Sarvodaya Vidyalaya of Bhamaura has secured second rank in UP and Surbhi Yadav has also brought glory to the district by performing brilliantly.

Nandini’s father Mohanlal Gupta said that he is very happy today. We have five children and we wanted them to concentrate only on studies. About 8 months ago, I deliberately broke the TV in the house so that the children do not get involved in mobile and entertainment. Today my daughter has rewarded me for my penance by getting second place in the state.

10 toppers from the same school
‘Jankalyan Sarvodaya Vidyalaya’ of Bareilly has become the center of success this time. From this single school, a total of 10 students including high school and intermediate have made it to the state top-10. This is probably the first school in the entire state which has given so many toppers together.

School manager Hariom Gupta said that the children of our school have secured second, sixth, eighth and tenth ranks. We provide free extra classes and coaching to children. The hard work of teachers and students has made the district proud today.

Success story in the words of topper daughters
Nandini Gupta (UP second topper) said that I have got second rank, father is very happy. I worked very hard and had full support from teachers and family. Surbhi Yadav (97% marks) said that I used to study for 18-18 hours every day. Whenever any problem arose, the teacher acted as a guru and provided guidance. The credit for my success goes to my parents and my teachers.

Now fireworks and dancing are happening
After the results are declared, there is a celebratory atmosphere in the school and at the homes of the students. There were huge fireworks and sweets were distributed on the spot. The students danced enthusiastically with their teachers and family members. The officials of the Education Department are also surprised to hear the story of this unique ‘sacrifice’ of their father that how these daughters touched the sky even with limited resources.
