UGC Net June 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon release the UGC NET June 2025 examination schedule. While the NTA has not made any official announcement for the UGC NET 2025 June exam timetable, with the exams scheduled to begin tentatively on June 21, the testing agency is likely to announce the exam dates by the end of this week, following the previous trends.
UGC NET June 2025 Exam Timetable Date
The NTA generally releases the UGC NET exam schedule nearly 15 days before the examination. In 2024, the UGC NET December exams began on January 3, 2025 and the schedule was released on December 19, 2024. Since the UGC NET June 2025 exams are scheduled to begin tentatively on June 21, the NTA is likely to announce the examination schedule by this week.

Step 3: The UGC NET 2025 June Exam schedule will appear on your screen, download it
Step 4: Check the timetable for the date and time of exam for your subject code
Step 5: Save the timetable for future reference
UGC NET June 2025: Exam Pattern
The UGC NET exam lasts for three hours and has a total of 150 multiple-choice questions divided into two papers.
Paper 1 has 50 questions worth 100 marks. It checks general skills like teaching ability, reasoning, reading comprehension, research aptitude, and general awareness.
Paper 2 includes 100 questions based on the subject chosen by the candidate and carries 200 marks.
The exam is conducted in English and Hindi languages only, except for language papers.
Each question carries two marks. There is no negative marking in the examination for incorrect responses.
The UGC NET is held twice a year for those who want to become Assistant Professors, get a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), or gain admission to PhD programmes in Indian universities and colleges.
