US Open champions Carlos Alcaraz and Aryna Sabalenka have been presented with WWE Championship belts following their triumphs.

The world continues to stand up and applaud Aryna Sabalenka and Carlos Alcaraz for their respective Grand Slam triumphs at the US Open in New York. As the Belarusian and Spanish giants cemented their place in tennis history at the Arthur Ashe Stadium, they are being greeted with wholehearted praise from fans and prominent personalities.
Amid the grand celebrations, the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) honoured the men’s and women’s singles champions in the company’s own style and flair.
On Tuesday, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul Michael Levesque, also known as Triple H, announced that the WWE honoured the two US Open winners and handed over special championship belts to both Sabalenka and Alcaraz.
In a post shared on X, Levesque wrote, “The WWE knows something about the importance of big matches…Congratulations to Aryna Sabalenka & Carlos Alcaraz on taking home their respective US Open Championships. Incredible matchups over the last couple weeks in New York!”
In the post, one can see Alcaraz beaming with excitement and showing off his biceps while proudly wearing the WWE belt. In a small clip, Sabalenka is seen jumping in elation at receiving the belt and trying to wear it around her waist. Sabalenka thanked the WWE authorities for the surprise gift and said the belt “looks fabulous”.
Sabalenka ended her wait for a Grand Slam title this season by defeating home favourite Amanda Anisimova in front of a packed crowd at New York’s Flushing Meadows on Saturday. The world No.1 defeated the American star 6-3, 7-6 to bag home the fourth Grand Slam title of her career.
Alcaraz took another giant leap towards securing his place among the pantheon of tennis legends by defeating Italian Jannik Sinner in one of the most anticipated battles in US Open history.
The 22-year-old Spanish giant hammered Sinner 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 in a victory he would savour. It was Alcaraz’s sixth Grand Slam title win, also including his previous US Open win in 2022 and victories at the French Open (2024, 2025) and Wimbledon (2023, 2024).
Alcaraz’s incredible run in New York featured a defining victory against Serbian great Novak Djokovic in the semifinal, signaling the beginning of a new era in tennis.
