Toyota Gazoo Racing will step into the spotlight as the new title sponsor of the Haas Formula One team from 2026, marking Toyota’s most significant return to F1 since 2009.
The American outfit will be rebranded TGR Haas F1 next season, a move Haas says reflects how seamlessly the partnership has evolved.
“Our working relationship has been everything we hoped for,” said team principal Ayao Komatsu, noting how joint development programs have strengthened Haas’s engineering talent and operations. “That collaboration will only grow as our partnership matures.”
Haas — currently eighth in the championship heading into the Abu Dhabi finale — struck a multi-year technical deal with Toyota last October. Since then, Toyota has provided design support, manufacturing resources, and a proving ground for its young drivers and engineers through testing older-generation F1 cars.
Toyota chairman Akio Toyoda said he’s watched TGR’s rising talents gain confidence throughout the 2025 season. “The time has come for the next generation to take their first steps onto the world stage,” he said. “Together with Gene Haas, Ayao, and everyone at TGR Haas F1 Team, we will build a team for the future. Toyota is now truly on the move.”
The newly branded team will reveal its 2026 livery on January 23, followed by a closed-door test at Barcelona’s Circuit de Catalunya from January 26–30.
