Thousands of railway passengers worried before Diwali: IRCTC website and mobile app down, facing problems in ticket booking.

Before Diwali, the website and mobile app of Indian Railways ticket booking portal IRCTC is down on Friday (October 17). Due to this, users are facing difficulty in ticket booking and using other services of IRCTC from the website and app.

IRCTC officials say that due to technical reasons there has been a problem in the website and app. Efforts are underway to improve it.

According to outage tracking platform Down-Detector, people started filing complaints from 9:00 am. By 11 o’clock, about 6,000 people had filed their reports.

According to DownDetector, 49% people on the website, 37% on the app and 14% on station ticketing have complained that IRCTC is down. After this, many users have also expressed their displeasure on social media.

What to do if IRCTC website is down

When the IRCTC website is down, a down time message is often visible to the user, in which it is written that due to maintenance, e-ticketing service is not available, try after some time. In such a situation, users can call the customer care numbers 14646, 08044647999 and 08035734999, or can also express their problems through email, for which they can send a message to etickets@irctc.co.in.
