CBSE Practical Datesheet 2026: Schools have been directed to prepare the list of eligible candidates and coordinate with regional officers for external examiners and observers.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the practical exam schedule for the 2025-26 academic session. Schools in winter-bound regions can complete their exams between November 6 and December 6, ahead of January. For non-winter-bound regions, exams will begin on January 1, 2026.
“Accordingly the Practical Examinations/Project/Internal Assessment for the session 2025-26 for both classes 10 and 12 for winter-bound schools are to be conducted from November 6 to December 6, 2025,” reads the official notice.
Schools have been directed to prepare the list of eligible candidates and coordinate with regional officers for external examiners and observers. Internal assessments for class 10 will be conducted only once, CBSE stated. Practical exams may occur in multiple sessions depending on lab availability. Once marks are uploaded, no changes will be allowed, and any malpractice will be reported to the board.

CBSE classes 10 and 12 theory board exams for 2026 will start on February 17, according to the tentative schedule released by the board. The class 10 exams will end on March 9, while the class 12 exams will conclude on April 9, 2026. Students should note that Class 10 will have two sets of board exams, with the second set starting on May 15 and finishing on June 1, 2026.
The class 10 exams will begin with Mathematics Standard and Basic on February 17, from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm, and will end with exams for languages and music. The class 12 exams will also start on February 17, with Biotechnology, Entrepreneurship, and Shorthand (English and Hindi) from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm, and will conclude with exams for Sanskrit, Data Science, and Multimedia. Over 45 lakh students are expected to appear for the CBSE board exams next year.
