Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday expressed disappointment over the defeat of the Constitution (131st) Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha, saying the opposition parties would “regret for the rest of their lives” for not supporting the bill linked to women’s reservation, sources told News18.

PM Modi made the remarks in the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) meeting held at Parliament House in Delhi.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister said the opposition parties will have to “pay a price” for it, adding they are finding reasons to cover this up.

“They will have to pay a price for it. We need to take this to every village of the country that opposition is anti women mindset. They are already finding reasons to cover this up”, he said.
