‘महिला आरक्षण नहीं, परिसीमन की बात थी’, बीजेपी पर प्रियंका गांधी का पलटवार

The government could not pass the amendment bill related to women’s reservation. The next day after this bill fell in the Lok Sabha, the proceedings of the Parliament were adjourned indefinitely. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), leading the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA), has opened a front by terming the Congress and the opposition India Bloc as anti-women. BJP leaders are calling it a black day, protests are taking place across the country. Amidst all this, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi has held a press conference demanding that the Women’s Reservation Bill, which was passed unanimously in 2023, be implemented.

He claimed that this bill women reservation bill No, it was a delimitation bill. It was not about women’s reservation, it was about delimitation. Priyanka Gandhi said that we all were wondering what is the hurry. Why are they bringing this bill in such a hurry? Was surprised by the sudden session. He said that there are elections in five states, voting is still pending in two states. They want power by whatever means.

Priyanka Gandhi Questioning the government’s intentions, he asked why the draft of the bill was made public a day before. He alleged that BJP wants to remain in power in the name of women. Women are not stupid. Priyanka Gandhi said that she wants to become the messiah of women. What happened in Manipur, what happened in Unnao, what happened to the women wrestlers. No one went to question all those women. It is not so easy to become the messiah of women.

He said that this bill was not on women’s reservation, but on delimitation. The government should not mislead the country. The government knew that this bill would not be passed. Priyanka Gandhi said that we defeated the government in Parliament yesterday. If this bill was passed, the government would have become the messiah of women and if it was not passed, it would have called the opposition anti-women. This was already decided. We have foiled the government’s conspiracy. He said that the people of the country do not trust the government.
