Mahindra Thar Roxx Star Edition Price: Mahindra has launched the new Star Edition of its popular SUV Thar Roxx in the Indian market. Equipped with attractive looks and powerful engine, the starting price of this lifestyle SUV has been kept at Rs 16.85 lakh (ex-showroom). This edition has been introduced not only with the name but also with the new look and feel. This new Thar Rocks Star Edition is based on the top-spec AX7L trim of the SUV and has been given some new cosmetic changes along with the black theme, which make it more bold and premium.
Black touch in exterior
To differentiate the Thar Roxx Star Edition from the regular Thar Roxx, Mahindra has given it a gloss-black finished grille and alloy wheels. While the regular model gets body color grille and silver alloys, the Star Edition looks more aggressive. Along with this, a new Citrine Yellow color has also been added to the Thar Rocks range, which looks quite unique with black elements. Apart from this, this edition is also available in Tango Red, Everest White and Stealth Black color options. The Star Edition badge was given on the C-pillar of this SUV which makes it different from other variants.
Price and variants
Mahindra Thar Rocks Star Edition has been introduced in three variants. The price of diesel manual variant is Rs 16.85 lakh. The petrol automatic variant comes at Rs 17.85 lakh. Whereas the ex-showroom price of diesel automatic variant has been kept at Rs 18.35 lakh.

All-black theme in the interior
The cabin of the Thar Roxx Star Edition has also received a special treatment. The earlier light colored upholstery has now been replaced with an all-black interior. It has black leatherette seats with suede touch, which gives it a more sporty feel. No changes have been made in terms of features. It has features like all-LED lighting, two 10.25-inch screens for instrument cluster and touchscreen, front ventilated seats, 360-degree camera, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, panoramic sunroof, 9-speaker Harman Kardon sound system and terrain modes.
Engine and Performance
The Star Edition has the same powertrains as the standard Thar Rocks. It has a 2.0 liter petrol engine, which generates 177 HP power and 380 Nm torque. Apart from this, a 2.2 liter diesel engine is available, which generates 175 HP power and 400 Nm torque. The petrol engine comes only with an automatic gearbox, while the diesel engine has both manual and automatic options. The special thing is that 4×4 system is not provided in Star Edition and it is available only in rear-wheel drive.
Mahindra Thar Rocks was launched in the year 2024 and since then it has remained a best seller for the company. Through Star Edition, Mahindra has tried to bring new freshness to this model. Especially at a time when new vehicles like Tata Sierra, new generation Kia Seltos and Maruti Suzuki Victoris are entering the SUV market. With style and premium touch, Thar Rocks Star Edition will provide a new option to the customers.
