There is a fall in the prices of gold and silver today i.e. on 15th September. According to India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), the price of one kg silver has come down by Rs 1,270 to around Rs 2.28 lakh. The price of 10 grams 24 carat gold has fallen by Rs 888 to Rs 1.51 lakh. Whereas in 15 days, silver has become cheaper by ₹ 10 thousand and gold by ₹ 5 thousand. On August 31, the price of gold was around Rs 1.56 lakh and the price of silver was Rs 2.37 lakh. This year gold became costlier by ₹ 18 thousand. This year there are continuous fluctuations in the price of gold and silver. Gold has become costlier by Rs 18 thousand so far in 2026. On December 31, 2025, 10g gold was at Rs 1.33 lakh, which has now reached Rs 1.51 lakh. At the same time, silver was Rs 2.30 lakh per kg on December 31, 2025, which has now come down to around Rs 2.28 lakh. During this period, on January 29, gold had made an all-time high of Rs 1.76 lakh and silver had also made an all-time high of Rs 3.86 lakh. Will this decline last?
