The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday carried out searches at 21 locations in Karnataka and Ahmedabad over alleged irregularities in the Karnataka Public Service Commission’s (KPSC) Veterinary Officers recruitment examination, ANI reported.
These 21 premises spread across Karnataka’s Bengaluru, Hassan, Chitradurga, Davangere, Raichur, Karwar, Kalaburgi, Belagavi, and Belgaum, and in Ahmedabad, officials said.
The searches include KPSC office premises, the residences of suspended KPSC chairman Shivashankarappa S. Sahukar and commission member Shanta Hosmani. Locations linked to alleged middlemen and Edutest Solutions Pvt. Ltd. are also being searched.
The ED action follows multiple FIRs alleging serious problems in the recruitment process. The allegations include examination paper leaks, tampering with OMR sheets and demands for bribes ranging from Rs 70 lakh to Rs 80 lakh per candidate.
The agency is investigating the alleged irregularities and possible involvement of people connected with the recruitment process.
