There is a rise in the stock market today i.e. on 10th October. Sensex is trading at the level of 82,300, up by about 150 points. At the same time, Nifty is also up by about 50 points. It is trading at the level of 24,200.

Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 13 are rising and 17 are declining. More growth is being seen in banking and IT shares. There is a decline in pharma and metal shares.

Mixed business for Asian markets

  • In Asian markets, Japan’s Nikkei is trading 492 points (1.01%) down at 48,087 and Korea’s Kospi is trading up 46 points at 3,596.
  • Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index is trading at 26,450, falling 302 points (1.13%). Whereas China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 3,913 with a slight decline of 20 points.
  • On October 9, America’s Dow Jones fell 243 points and closed at 46,358. The Nasdaq Composite fell 18 points to 23,024 and the S&P 500 fell 18 points to 6,735.

The market was bullish yesterday

There was a rise in the stock market yesterday i.e. on 9th October. Sensex closed at 82,172 with a gain of 398 points. Nifty also gained 135 points. It closed at 25,181.

Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 23 rose and 7 declined. Today there were more gains in Metal, IT and FMCG shares. Shares of Tata Steel and HCL Tech closed more than 2% higher.
