Today i.e. on October 8, the Sensex is trading at the level of 81,170 with a rise of 100 points. Nifty is also up by 20 points, it is trading at the level of 24,820.
Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 19 are declining and 11 are rising. Out of 50 stocks of Nifty, 25 are declining and 25 are rising. Shares of IT and banking sectors are trading with slight rise.
Asian markets fall
- In the Asian market, Japan’s Nikkei is down by 1.20%. Whereas Hong Kong’s Hangseng index is trading with a decline of 7.38% and Korea’s Kospi index is trading with a decline of 0.73%.
- On October 7, the US Dow Jones fell 0.94% to 41,954 and the Nasdaq fell 1.18% to 17,923. The S&P 500 also fell 0.96% to 5,695.
- According to NSE data, foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth ₹8,293.41 crore on October 7. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) bought shares worth ₹ 13,245.12 crore.
Garuda Construction and Engineering’s IPO will open today
The initial public offer i.e. IPO of Garuda Construction and Engineering Limited will open today. Investors will be able to bid for this issue till October 10. There was a decline in the market yesterday
Earlier yesterday i.e. on October 7, the Sensex had fallen by 638 points and closed at the level of 81,050. Nifty also fell by 218 points, it closed at the level of 24,795. At the same time, BSE Small Cap fell by 1,827 points and closed at 54,117.
Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 23 were down and 7 were up. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 40 were in decline and 10 were up. Except the IT sector of NSE, all closed with a decline.
