There is a decline in the stock market today i.e. on 8th January. Sensex is trading at the level of 84,700 with a fall of more than 200 points. There is also a decline of about 100 points in Nifty, it is trading at 26,050. Today there is a decline in IT, auto and energy shares.
Bharat Coking Coal IPO will open from tomorrow The IPO of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), a subsidiary of Coal India, will open tomorrow i.e. from January 9. This issue will remain open till January 13. The company wants to raise Rs 1,071.11 crore through this.

Mixed business in global market
- In Asian markets, Korea’s Kospi is trading up 0.75% at 4,585 and Japan’s Nikkei index is trading down 0.58% at 51,660.
- Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index traded down 1.12% at 26,161 and China’s Shanghai Composite index was up 0.04% at 4,087.
- On January 7, America’s Dow Jones fell 0.94% to close at 48,996. At the same time, Nasdaq Composite had a gain of 0.16% and S&P 500 had a fall of 0.34%.
On January 7, DII spent ₹2,992. bought shares worth crores
- On January 7, FIIs had sold shares worth Rs 1,669 crore. Whereas DII had bought shares worth Rs 2,992 crore.
- FIIs sold shares worth a total of ₹34,350 crore in December 2025. During this period, DIIs controlling the market bought shares worth ₹ 79,620 crore.
- FIIs sold shares worth a total of ₹17,500 crore in the month of November. Whereas, DIIs made purchases worth ₹77,084 crore. That is, the market is supported by domestic investors.
There was a decline in the market yesterday Earlier yesterday i.e. on January 7, there was a decline in the stock market. The Sensex closed at the level of 84,961 with a fall of about 102 points. Nifty also fell by 37 points, it closed at the level of 26,140.
