The last trading day of the week is trading at 81,200 points by climbing about 250 points on Friday, 23 May. The Nifty also has a gain of 100 points, it is at 24,700 levels.
Of the 30 shares of the Sensex, 20 declines, while 10 declines. ITC, Infosys Jomato shares have climbed 1%. The sunforma has fallen by about 5%. Mahindra, Airtel and ICICI Bank also have a slight decline.
Out of 50 shares of Nifty, 35 are rose and 15 declines. IT, FMCG and Realty shares have more purchases, they have climbed up to 1%. Pharma and media are 1% below.
Mixed business in global market
- In the Asian markets, Japan’s Nikkei is trading at 37,300 up about 300 points and Korea’s Kospi is trading at 2600 levels up to 2600.
- Hong Kong’s Hangseng index is up more than 150 points, it is at 23,700. There is a slight rise in Shanghai composite of China, it is at 3,383 levels.
- On 22 May, the US Dow Jones Flat climbed 53 points (0.28%) to close at 18,926 at 41,859. S&P 500 also closed at 5,843 after a slight fall.
Foreign investors on 22 May 5,045 Buy crores of shares
- On 22 May, Foreign Investors (FIIs) sold shares worth Rs 5,045.36 crore in the cash segment. While domestic investors (DIIs) purchased Rs 3,715 crore.
- In May, so far, foreign investors have purchased a net of Rs 10,397.02 crore in the cash segment and Rs 34,197.78 crore by domestic investors.
- Net purchases of foreign investors in April stood at Rs 2,735.02 crore. Domestic investors also purchased a net of ₹ 28,228.45 crore in a month.

The IPO of Diesel-Petrol and Electric Vehicles Component, the IPO of Bellarize Industries, is open from Wednesday (May 21). Investors will be able to bid for this issue today i.e. till May 23. On May 28, the company shares will be listed on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE).

‘The Leela’ Hotels IPO will open from May 26
The IPO of Shloss Bangalore Limited, a parent company of the Indian luxury hotel chain ‘The Leela’, will open for subscription from May 26. Retail investors can bid for this by 28 May 2025. On 23 May 2025, anchor investors will be able to bid. Through this issue, the company wants to raise Rs 3,500.
In this IPO, the company will issue 5.75 crore new shares worth Rs 2,500 crore. 2.30 crore shares worth Rs 1,000 crore will be under the offer for sale.
There was a decline of 645 points in the market yesterday
The stock market declined on Thursday, 22 May on the fourth trading day of the week. The Sensex fell 645 points to close at 80,952 levels. The Nifty also fell by 204 points, it closed at 24,610 levels.
27 out of 30 shares of Sensex declines. M&M, Tech Mahindra and Bajaj Finserv have fallen to 2.5%. UltraTech Cement, Airtel and IndusInd Bank had a slight rise.
39 out of 50 shares of Nifty closed down. The NSE auto, IT, banking and FMCG declined by 1.5%. The media alone closed up 1.11%.
