CJP Protest: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Thursday alleged that outsiders were being brought to disrupt the ongoing protest and tarnish the movement’s image. Dipke accused the BJP of sending “goons” to provoke violence as the protest gathered momentum.
While speaking to reporters, Dipke claimed that the protest had been ongoing for a month without any such incident but the situation changed after the protest gained momentum.
“People are being sent from outside to deliberately disrupt the protest. We have been sitting here for a month. No such incident has happened in a month. But now, as this protest has grown, goons are being sent from outside by the BJP to deliberately incite people,” he said as quoted by news agency ANI.
He further accused BJP workers of stone-pelting and alleged that police facilitated the violence by bringing “trucks of stones” to the protest site. Dipke also described the police lathi charge on protesters as “very brutal” and said the party would take legal action against the officers involved.
Dipke said the protest had entered its 34th day, while activist Sonam Wangchuk’s hunger strike had reached its 26th day. He said the agitation would continue until the protesters’ demands were met but appealed to Wangchuk to end his fast, saying they could not afford to risk his life.
“I have already spoken about the lathi charge. It was very brutal, and we will take the police officers who carried it out to court, and today is the 34th day of our protest. Sonam Sir’s hunger strike is continuing. Today is the 26th day of his hunger strike, so our protest will continue until our demands are met,” he said.
However, Dipke said he appealed to Wangchuk to end his hunger strike, saying, “But we are requesting Sonam Sir to end his hunger strike because we cannot afford to lose his life…”

Das reiterated that the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET paper leak issue was “non-negotiable” and asserted that the protest would continue until the demand was met.
“Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation is non-negotiable. Without this, the protest will continue. It will continue for as long as it has to,” Das said.
Meanwhile, Union Health Minister and Rajya Sabha Leader of the House JP Nadda said on Wednesday that the issue of paper leaks should not be politicised. He said the government was ready to discuss all aspects of the NEET-UG paper leak in Parliament and called for an in-depth discussion on the issue.
What’s Happening In Delhi?
Students from across the country and activists of Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), an online satirical collective, have been protesting at Jantar Mantar and others parts of Central Delhi demanding accountability for repeated examination paper leaks and also seeking resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
The protestors had planned to march to the parliament house on Monday but the Delhi Police intervened and prevented the same.
The protest witnessed clashes, tear gas shelling, allegations of excessive force by police, counter-allegations of violence by protesters, detentions, and widespread disruption across central Delhi.
Police said the crowd turned violent, leading to stone-pelting, attacks on police personnel and damage to public property. According to Delhi Police, 178 people were injured in the clashes, including 118 police personnel and around 60 protesters. On the other hand, the CJP claimed that police resorted to lathi-charge and tear gas against peaceful demonstrators, resulting in injuries to hundreds of protesters.
