A lawyer tried to create a ruckus in the court today in front of Chief Justice of India (CJI) BR Gawai. It is alleged that the lawyer also tried to throw a shoe towards CJI. Soon after the incident, the police took the accused lawyer into custody. Meanwhile, Justice Gawai remained calm during the entire incident and the hearing in the court continued unchanged. It is being told that the lawyer went to the desk and tried to throw the shoe and throw it towards the judge, but the security personnel present in the court intervened in time and took the lawyer out. While going out, the lawyer was heard saying, “Will not bear the insult of Sanatan.” The name of the accused lawyer is being described as Rakesh Kishore. CJI was not affected by the incident and asked other lawyers present in the court to continue their arguments. He said, “Don’t pay attention to all this. We are not impressed. These things do not impress me.” In view of the seriousness of the case, immediate action has been taken and security in the court premises has been increased.

After this incident, the organization of lawyers has condemned the attack on the Chief Justice. The Supreme Court Advocate-on-Credit (AOR) Association has demanded the Supreme Court to take self-cognizance of the incident and take a contempt of court against that lawyer.
