Actor-producer Samantha has said she discusses almost every decision with her husband, writer-director Raj Nidimoru, and relies on his judgment in her personal and professional life. Ahead of the release of Maa Inti Bangaramthe actor said Raj’s influence ran throughout the film, from the script stage to post-production.
In an interview with Galatta PlusSamantha said, “Every single thing is a joint decision. Not just a film. Something as simple as an Instagram post. I still bounce it off with him, because he has such a real perspective on things even though he is in this industry which kind of alienates you and puts you in a bubble.”
She added, “He is so in touch with reality. I love to bounce off every decision that I make. I would like to discuss it with him. And 99 per cent of the time I listen to him.”
Speaking about their partnership, Samantha said it was “pretty cool” to have that kind of support at home, and called Maa Inti Bangaram “his baby”. She said Raj had his “stamp” on everything, from the script and his presence on set every single day to post-production, sound, mixing and music.
Maa Inti Bangaram marks Samantha’s return to cinemas after her 2023 releases Shaakunthalam and Who. In 2024, she starred alongside Varun Dhawan in Raj and DK’s Prime Video series Citadel: Honey Bunny. In 2025, she also made a cameo appearance in Subhamwhich marked her debut as a producer.
The upcoming film is created by Raj Nidimoru, directed by Nandini, and produced by Raj, Samantha and Himank under the banner of Tralala Moving Pictures. Vasanth Maringanti co-wrote the film with Raj, while Prahas Boppudi worked on the additional screenplay.
With its full investment already recovered ahead of release, Maa Inti Bangaram is heading into June 19 eyeing profits, with Samantha underlining Raj’s role in both her decision-making and the film’s making.
