Authorities in Nuuk evacuated the city’s airport on Tuesday following a bomb threat, with one person taken into custody, police said.

Officials did not disclose whether any explosive device was found during the operation and declined to provide further details as investigations continue.

The incident comes as a rare security scare in Greenland, a vast Arctic island that is part of the Denmark, where such threats are highly uncommon.
