Railway ticket booking system will be 5 times faster: 1.25 lakh tickets will be booked in a minute with AI; Currently the capacity is 25,000

Indian Railways is completely upgrading its passenger reservation system. After this big change, the new booking system of Railways will be able to book 1.25 lakh tickets every minute. This is 5 times more than the current capacity.

At present, the railway system is able to process only 25 thousand tickets in a minute, due to which passengers get troubled during urgent booking or heavy load. Center for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) gave this information on its 41st foundation day on Wednesday.

The new system will meet the increasing demand, the problem of hanging will reduce.

According to CRIS, increasing the ticket booking capacity by 5 times will significantly improve the performance of the system. With this, Indian Railways will be able to rapidly meet the increasing demand for reservation of passengers.

Common passengers are now expected to get relief from the problem of frequent hanging of the app or website while booking Tatkal tickets.

Super RailOne App: More than 4.35 crore downloads

Officials said that people are very fond of Railways’ super app ‘Railvan’, which was launched last year. Its simple design gives a better experience to the passengers. Till now it has been downloaded more than 4.35 crore times and on an average 10 lakh transactions are taking place every day through this app.

What will change with AI technology in Railways?

Railways is now using Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to make the functioning better and safer. With its arrival, the maintenance work of trains will be done before any fault occurs, which will prevent accidents and strengthen security.

CRIS MD GVL Satya Kumar said that whether it is a new app or AI technology, our only objective is that the common citizens of the country get the full benefit of technology.
