He called on countries across the world to adopt a zero-tolerance approach towards terrorism and act with greater determination to tackle it.

‘Terrorism As Statecraft Is Unacceptable’

Jaishankar said some countries continued to tolerate terrorism because they had failed to adopt a zero-tolerance approach towards it. He pointed out that certain nations placed political considerations above the lessons of history, without naming any country.

The minister reiterated that using terrorism as a tool of state policy was unacceptable and could not be defended under any circumstances. He called for a stronger international response to terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

Jaishankar also urged countries to recognise that terrorism was a shared threat and that tackling it required greater collective resolve. He emphasised that nations must move beyond political considerations and demonstrate a firm commitment to countering terrorism.
