PM Modi is on a two-day tour of Gujarat. He will participate in the National Unity Day celebrations in Kevadiya on Thursday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two-day visit to Gujarat. He has reached Kevadiya here for Unity Day celebrated on the birth anniversary of Sardar Patel. He inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of projects worth Rs 280 crore in Ekta Nagar on Wednesday.
He is also scheduled to address officers and Common Foundation Course (Trainee IAS-IPS) officers at the START 6.0 programme. The theme of this year’s program is ‘Roadmap for a Self-reliant and Developed India’. The 99th Common Foundation Course START 6.0 involves 653 trainee officers from 16 civil services of India and 3 civil services of Bhutan.
PM Modi will attend the National Unity Day celebrations in Kevadiya on Thursday (August 31). First of all, he will offer floral tributes to PM Modi at the Statue of Unity at around 7:15 am. After this will participate in the National Unity Day celebration.

16 parade contingents in Unity Day Parade Prime Minister Modi will administer the Unity Day oath and watch the parade. It will include 16 contingents of police from 9 states and one Union Territory, 4 Central Armed Police Forces, NCC and a marching band.
Special attractions will include the Hell March contingent of NSG, courageous performance by men and women bikers of BSF and CRPF, a show on combination of Indian martial arts by BSF, pipe band show of school children, Surya Kiran flypast by Indian Air Force etc.
12850 crore project for 18 states, free treatment of ₹ 5 lakh for those 70+

On 29th October, on Dhanteras and 9th Ayurveda Day, the Central Government extended Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY). Elders were included in this.
Launched a free treatment facility of Rs 5 lakh for people aged 70 years and above. Under this, 6 crore elderly people of the country will get benefit.
PM said- I apologize to the elders above 70 years of age of Delhi and Bengal that I will not be able to serve them. You will be in pain, but I won’t be able to help. Reason- Government of Delhi and Bengal is not joining this scheme. Read the full news…
