PM Kisan 23rd Installment Date.
PM Kisan 23rd Instalment Date: The central government assists farmers through various initiatives. One of them is the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme. Under the flagship scheme, eligible farmers receive financial assistance of Rs 6,000 annually, which is transferred directly into their bank accounts in three equal instalments of Rs 2,000 each through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had released the 22nd instalment of PM-KISAN in Guwahati, Assam, on March 13, 2026. Going by the previous payment cycle, the 23rd instalment is expected to be released in June or July 2026. However, the government has not yet announced any official date for the next transfer.
Under the PM Kisan Yojana, the financial assistance is aimed at helping farmers manage farming-related and household expenses. The money is credited directly into the bank accounts of beneficiaries without the involvement of intermediaries.
e-KYC Mandatory For Next Instalment
Farmers who have not yet completed their e-KYC may face issues in receiving the next instalment. The government has made it clear that e-KYC is mandatory for availing benefits under the scheme.
Farmers can complete the process online by visiting the official PM-KISAN portal. They need to enter their Aadhaar number and verify it using an OTP linked with their Aadhaar-registered mobile number.
The government has provided three different methods for completing e-KYC to make the process easier for beneficiaries. These include OTP-based e-KYC, biometric-based e-KYC and face authentication-based e-KYC. Farmers can complete the process through Common Service Centres (CSCs), the PM-KISAN mobile app or the online portal.
How To Check PM Kisan Beneficiary Status
Farmers can also check the status of their instalment online. On the official portal, beneficiaries need to select the ‘Beneficiary Status’ option and enter either their Aadhaar number or bank account number. The portal then displays payment-related details, including the status of the next instalment.
Over 9 Crore Farmers Benefited
According to data available on the PM-KISAN portal, more than 9 crore farmers continue to receive benefits under the scheme across different instalment cycles.
For the April-July 2025-26 cycle, 9.71 crore farmers benefited from the scheme, while 9.35 crore farmers received assistance during the August-November 2025-26 period. In the December-March 2025-26 cycle, benefits were transferred to over 9.46 crore farmers.
