Winter Session of Parliament, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha Day 4 Live Updates:
The fourth day of Parliament’s Winter Session is set to begin from 11 am. After two days of intense uproar, normalcy was restored in the House on Wednesday. Amid opposition protests over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists, a consensus was reached on the third day to hold a comprehensive discussion on Vande Mataram and electoral reforms next week. Question Hour proceeded without interruption on Wednesday.
In the Lok Sabha, Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia gave a clarification regarding Sanchar Saathi app and said that spying is not possible through the application. He stated that the government is open to amending the mandatory pre-installation of the app based on public feedback. Scindia also mentioned that the app has so far traced 26 lakh stolen phones and prevented numerous fraud cases. Meanwhile, signs of disunity are emerging within the opposition. The Trinamool Congress has indicated its intention to distance itself from coalition meetings.
