Navodaya vidyalaya nvs class 6 admission 2026: The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) will close the registration process for Class 6 admission through the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) today, August 27. Students who meet the eligibility criteria can apply online at cbseitms.rcil.gov.in/nvs or navodaya.gov.in.
The JNVST will be conducted in two phases for the academic session 2026–27. Phase 1 will be held on December 13, 2025, and Phase 2 on April 11, 2026. Both exams will begin at 11:30 am and will consist of 80 multiple-choice questions carrying 100 marks.
Eligibility
Candidates must be born between May 1, 2014, and July 31, 2016 (both dates inclusive). Other conditions are given in the official prospectus.
How To Apply For NVS Class 6 Admission?
Step 1: Visit cbseitms.rcil.gov.in or navodaya.gov.in.
Step 2: Click on the JNVST Class 6 admission link.
Step 3: Fill in the registration details and submit.
Step 4: Log in using the credentials and complete the application form.
Step 5: Upload the required documents.
Step 6: Download and save a copy for future reference.
Documents Required
- Passport-size photograph
- Signature of the student
- Signature of parent/guardian
- Aadhaar details or residence certificate (issued by competent authority)

The NVS is expected to announce JNVST Class 6 results by March 2026 for summer-bound JNVs and by May 2026 for winter-bound JNVs. Results will be available on the admission portal.
