Reliance Retail Executive Director Isha Ambani delivered a heartfelt speech at Jio Platforms’ landmark stock market listing, framing the record-breaking IPO not as a finish line, but as a promise to investors and customers.

Speaking at a grand ceremony at the National Stock Exchange (NSE) in Mumbai, she renewed her grandfather Dhirubhai Ambani’s foundational philosophy that “growth is life”.

“My grandfather placed his dream in the hands of the people. Today, you have placed a part of your future in ours. We accept that faith with gratitude, humility, and a deep sense of duty,” she said.

“And today isn’t a finish line. It isn’t. It’s a promise. Akash, Anant, and I renew my grandfather’s promise to every investor and every customer. We will honour your trust with integrity, and we will keep building. Because, as my grandfather taught us, growth is life,” said Isha Ambani.

Isha Ambani recalled a recent private family conversation regarding the history of the group’s public offerings. “Jio is built on my father’s first principles: create real value for the customerand strong earnings will follow. That is our dharma,” Isha Ambani said.

“A few evenings ago, at our dinner table, my father, Shri Mukesh Ambani, was remembering his days in 1977. He was 20 years old, working on Reliance’s first public offering. My grandfather, Shri Dhirubhai Ambanihad decided to take Reliance to the people,” she said.

Outlining the financial scale attained by the digital unit within a decade, she noted, “This year, Jio earned about USD 15.5 billion in revenue and about USD 8 billion in real earnings. Very few companies anywhere in the world have done this. That too in only 10 years. But behind every number is a customer. And to every customer, Jio aapne banaya. You welcomed it.”
