Nick Kyrgios will miss the grass-court season as well as the Wimbledon due to an injury setback.

Nick Kyrgios, the 2022 Wimbledon finalist, announced on Tuesday that he will miss this year’s tournament and the grass-court season due to a minor setback in his ongoing injury recovery.
The 30-year-old Australian has played very little tennis over the past year because of various injuries, most recently a wrist issue that required surgery.
In March, he won his first singles match since 2022 at the Miami Open. However, he withdrew from the French Open, where he was scheduled to play men’s doubles, due to a knee injury.
“I’ve hit a small setback in my recovery and unfortunately won’t make it back for the grass season this year,” he posted on Instagram.
“I know how much you’ve all been looking forward to seeing me out there, and I’m genuinely sorry to disappoint.”
Kyrgios, whose undeniable talent has often been overshadowed by his volatile temperament, added: “This is just a bump in the road, and I’m already working hard to come back stronger than ever.”
Kyrgios reached the Wimbledon final last year, where he lost in four sets to Novak Djokovic.
The third Grand Slam of the year begins on 3 July.
