Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday claimed that some Christian villages in Lebanon had asked to be annexed by Israel, saying the country protects “Christian in the Middle East”.
Speaking to Fox NewsNetanyahu said Israel “takes care of our friends, especially the Christians in the Middle East.”

Referring to villages in southern Lebanon, Netanyahu said, “The Christian villages in Lebanon, some of them have actually asked to be annexed to Israel, because we protect them against the Hezbollah, Hezbollah fanatics who want to kill them, and we do the same things with Christians everywhere.”
