NEET-UG 2024 Supreme Court Hearing Live Updates: After announcing that there would be no retest for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2024, the Supreme Court is expected to share a detailed judgement for rejecting petitions seeking a retest and cancellation of the medical entrance exam held on May 5. The hearing is expected to commence at 11 am. During the July 23rd hearing, CJI DY Chandrachud observed that conducting a fresh exam would have serious consequences as it would affect more than 24 lakh students who appeared in this exam. He added that conducting a retest would disrupt the admission schedule, and have cascading effects on the course of the medical entrance exam and its counseling process, which is expected to start on August 14.
