Nauheed Cyrusi has tried a new recipe in her kitchen, it turned out to be delicious. For her latest recipe, the actress gave her own spin to the popular kela (banana) cake trend. She shared the recipe with her followers and took them through the process of making this simple homemade treat.
Made with everyday ingredients and ripe bananas, the kela cake is loved for its fuss-free preparation and comforting flavour. Nauheed appeared to have a great time putting the recipe together with her mother.

Ingredients
1 tablespoon butter
2 cut ripe bananas
¼ cup oil
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 cup flour
20 grams of sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa powder

Method
At first, Nauheed cut the bananas into halves and set them aside. She then cracked an egg into a bowl and added some natural sugar replacer to it, as she was on a diet. She whisked the mixture thoroughly and added 1 teaspoon vanilla essence to it. She then added oil and milk to the mixture and continued mixing.
After that, Nauheed sifted all the dry ingredients and added them to the wet mix and combined well. She then added a little bit of milk to the mixture to get the perfect texture. She then heated up a pan and put some butter on it and added the sweetener to caramelize it. When the sweetener turned into a deep golden brown color, she added the banana slices to soak up all the caramel sauce.

Nauheed then added the cake batter on top of the bananas and covered it to cook. After 15-20 minutes, she took a piece of parchment paper and put it on top of the pan and placed another plate over it. She flipped the pan, and the cake came out perfectly. “Here’s presenting my no-oven, no-sugar kela cake,” Nauheed said as she sliced pies for her family members.
“I can confirm this is yum, but please add in more ripe bananas,” Nauheed said after taking her first bite. She also revealed that the cake turned out much better than she had expected, and her family members also seemed to enjoy the viral recipe.
