N Chandrasekaran to remain Tata Sons chairman: Board approves 5-year extension, was an intern at TCS in 1987




The board of Tata Sons Limited on Thursday approved giving a new 5-year term to N Chandrasekaran as executive chairman. According to the ET report, several Tata Trusts, which hold majority in the holding company, may challenge Chandrasekaran’s re-appointment as chairman. Chandrasekaran’s 9-year journey: Revenue reached ₹ 16.24 lakh crore. After Chandrasekaran took command in 2017, the scope of Tata Group has expanded significantly. Chandrasekaran took the group into new areas like aviation, semiconductor, electronics manufacturing, batteries and digital business.
