Starlink is waiting for the approval of IN-Space to operate satellite internet service in India.
Ilon Musk’s company Starlink will work closely with the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) in India. The Ministry of Electronics and IT announced it on Wednesday. UIDAI has made Starlink Satellite Communication Private Limited a sub-authentication user agency.
Under this partnership, Starlink will use Aadhaar based authentication for the verification of its users in India. The procedure will make customer verification for the starlink fast, safe and easier. This will also make it easier to follow the No Your Customer (KYC) rules.
Earlier in June, Starlink had a license of telecom department to operate satellite internet service in India. Now he is just waiting for the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Center i.e., in-space.
How will the Internet reach you from satellites?
