The upcoming comedy film ‘Mastiii 4’ is scheduled to hit cinemas on Friday, November 21, drawing attention for its bold trailer and established franchise. After concerns about potential censorship, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has cleared the film following a few modifications. The CBFC’s decision allows the film to maintain most of its original content, which has pleased the makers and fans alike.
As reported by Bollywood Hungamachanges required by the CBFC were restricted to a handful of dialogue and visual edits. Three dialogues were altered, while one was replaced entirely. Specifically, the word ‘Behe‘ was replaced, and elsewhere in the script, the word ‘item’ was substituted with an alternative. In addition, a reference to an alcohol brand was changed to a fictional company name.
The CBFC instructed the filmmakers to remove a top angle animal sex scene, which lasted for nine seconds. The board also asked for a reduction of thirty seconds’ worth of close-up shots of human faces. Altogether, these edits amounted to thirty-nine seconds of content being cut from the final version of the film.
After the proposed adjustments were completed, the CBFC granted ‘Mastiii 4’ an ‘A’ certified on November 17. According to the censor certificate, the film now has a total run time of 144.17 minutes, or two hours, twenty-four minutes, and seventeen seconds.
Directed by Milap Zaveri, ‘Mastii 4’ Features riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberi, and Aftab Shivdasani in recurring roles from the previous films in the series. This latest instalment also introduces new cast members Ruhii Singh, Shreya Sharma, Elnaaz Norouzi, Natalia Janoszek, Shad Randhawa, Nishant Singh Malkan, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapora, and Nargris Fakhri.
