The country’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki India is going to release its second quarter results today on October 27. According to experts, the company’s revenue may increase in double digits, but due to high prices of raw materials, there may be pressure on profits. Revenue may increase by 28%, but profit is expected to decline by 11%. According to experts, Maruti Suzuki’s standalone revenue may increase by 27% to 28% on annual basis (YoY) and by 2% to 3% on quarterly basis (QoQ) to between ₹ 53,755 crore to ₹ 54,100 crore. At the same time, sales volume in this quarter is expected to increase by 25% to 28% on an annual basis. However, the company’s net profit is expected to decline by 9% to 11% YoY and 10% to 12% QoQ to between ₹2,950 crore and ₹3,010 crore. Last year, there was a profit of ₹ 3,303 crore in the same quarter. In the same quarter of the last financial year (Q2FY26), Maruti’s standalone revenue was ₹ 42,332 crore and net profit was ₹ 3,303 crore. At the same time, in the first quarter (Q1FY27) of the current financial year, the company’s revenue was ₹ 52,456 crore and net profit was ₹ 3,352 crore. After the results, investors will keep an eye on the management’s commentary, especially on the impact of demand and raw material inflation on profits. Apart from this, the market will also keep a close eye on figures like sales volume, export volume, average selling price (ASP) and EBITDA margin. Shares rose 1.1% today, but have lost 31% so far this year. Maruti Suzuki shares are trading 1.1% higher at around ₹11,355 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Tuesday ahead of Q2 results. However, since the beginning of this year till now (YTD), the company’s shares have fallen by more than 31%. Downtrend in the stock, but the level of ₹ 11,000 is a strong support. According to technical analysis, Maruti’s stock is clearly in a downtrend. The stock is trading below its 20-day and 50-day EMA. The 20-day EMA has been below the 50-day EMA since late August. Whenever the stock tried to recover in October, selling was seen at the 20-day EMA. Last week the stock had also fallen near ₹11,650. However, the selling pressure is now showing signs of reducing a bit. The stock has maintained the level of ₹11,000 in the last few sessions. Directional Movement Index also supports this. ADX has declined from its peak to 51.5, which suggests that the strength of the downtrend is now gradually decreasing.
