India has become the world’s third largest quick commerce (qcom) market after China and America. In 2024, there will be a business of 5.6 billion dollars (about ₹ 50 thousand crores) and by 2030 it can double to 11 billion dollars (about ₹ 1 lakh crores).

37% of global funding goes to India alone

Last year i.e. in 2024, quick commerce companies around the world received a total funding of 2.8 billion dollars (about ₹ 25 thousand crores), out of which 37% i.e. one third was received by Indian companies.

Quick commerce means goods delivered to your home in 30 minutes.

Quick Commerce (Q-Commerce) means delivering goods to your home within 10 to 30 minutes. In normal e-commerce like Amazon and Flipkart, it takes 1-2 days or more after ordering, but in Quick Commerce, delivery is very fast.

How does it work?

  • Small warehouses are built in the city, which are called dark stores.
  • Everyday items (grocery, milk, bread, snacks, medicines, mobile charger, cosmetics etc.) are kept in these.
  • As soon as you place an order on the app, the goods are packed from the nearest dark store.
  • Then the delivery boy (rider) delivers it to your home in 10 to 30 minutes.

Currently 14 crore customers, by 2030 there will be 23 crore

In 2024, 14 crore people were using Quick Commerce, by 2030 this number will increase to 233 million. According to RedSeer report, 70% of GMV (gross sales) comes from grocery, but now fashion, electronics and beauty products are also expanding rapidly.
