Maruti Suzuki India has announced to increase the prices of select models by up to Rs 20 thousand. The new prices will be applicable from September 2026. This is the company’s third increase in prices since May. The company said on Monday that this decision has been taken due to continuously increasing costs and inflationary pressure. The company has given this information in its regulatory filing. Maruti Suzuki India said, “In view of the continuous increase in input costs, the company has decided to increase the prices of select models by up to Rs 20,000.” This increase in prices will be applicable from September 2026. This is the third increase in prices made by the company after May. Both the earlier increases were applicable to models included in the company’s entire portfolio. Efforts to reduce costs continue: The company said that for the last few months, it has been continuously trying to reduce the impact of increased costs through cost reduction measures. Maruti Suzuki India said inflation pressures remain high and the adverse cost environment continues. Therefore the company is forced to pass on some part of the increased cost to the market.
