Like every month, many rules are going to change in the month of August. LPG prices have come down from August 1, while some rules related to UPI have changed. Whereas from August 15, the rules of Fastag Annual Pass are going to be implemented. All these changes will affect people’s pockets. Let’s know what is changing from the month of August.
First change- LPG commercial cylinder prices decreased
Oil marketing companies have cut the 19 kg commercial LPG gas cylinder prices across the country by Rs 33.50. This new price has become effective from 1st August i.e. today. However, no change has been made in the price of LPG. Commercial gas cylinders have been priced at Rs 1631.50 in Delhi, Rs 1734.50 in Kolkata, Rs 1582.50 in Mumbai and Rs 1789 in Chennai.
Second change- UPI rules change
From today, many new rules are being implemented regarding UPI. If you use Paytm, PhonePe, GPAY or any other payment third platform, then the National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) has changed some rules to provide better payment service. NPCI has set up some new limits. Now there will be limit on balance check, status refresh and other things.
Third change- SBI Credit Card
SBI card may be a big shock for holders, as SBI is going to shut down a service from 11 August. SBI has decided to close the free air accident insurance cover found on many co-branded credit cards. Currently, with SBI, UCO Bank, Central Bank, PSB, Karur Vaishya Bank, Allahabad Bank gives an insurance of Rs 1 crore or 50 lakh on some Elite and Prime Cards, which will be closed from 11 August.
Fourth change- Fastag Annual Pass
Now from 15 August 2025, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways is going to start the new Fastag annual pass for private vehicles. There will be 200 toll free under this annual pass, for which a fee of Rs 3000 will have to be paid. This pass will be considered valid for one year or a maximum of 200 trips. The objective of this nearby is to make the way of movement easier.
Fifth change- PNB KYC
Punjab National Bank (PNB) has requested its customers to update KYC information before August 8, 2025 to run their bank account properly. PNB said that this update is according to the RBI guideline.
Sixth change- amendment in the rate of ATF
1 August i.e. from today, the price of air turbine fuel (ATF) has also changed. After the new amendment, the price of ATF in Delhi is Rs 92,021.93 per kiloliter. Kolkata has Rs 95,164.90 per liter, Mumbai is Rs 86,077.14 per liter and Chennai Rs 95,512.26 per liter. These prices are for domestic airlines. Along with the change in the price of ATF, changes are also seen in the air fair.
Seventh change- Bank holiday
Banks are going to be exempted for 15 days in the month of August. It also includes Sunday and Saturday holidays. Apart from this, banks in different states are going to be closed for different days and other reasons.
