With James coming up on the twilight of his career, many wondered if he was hinting at retirement, despite his insistence that he has no plans of hanging up his shoes just yet.

NBA legend LeBron James left fans guessing his next move as he teased the audience over his next move with a tiny video clip that was captioned ‘The Second Decision’.
With James coming up on the twilight of his career, many wondered if it was a hint at his retirement, despite the star reasserted he has no plans of immediately hanging up his shoes.
“The decision of all decisions. October 7th. 12pm EST,” the LA Lakers star’s post read.
The title ‘The Second Decision,’ is reminiscent of ‘The Decision’, a TV show from 2010 when James announced his departure from the Cleveland Cavaliers as he made the switch to Miami Heat.
James has the chance to become the first player in NBA history to play 23 seasons when the Lakers open the regular season on October 21st against the Golden State Warriors.

James and the Lakers are focusing on managing the 40-year-old superstar’s workload to prevent injuries and exhaustion, particularly during training camp. Consequently, he sat out the team’s first practice session due to a minor irritation in his glute.
Although the top scorer in NBA history might still participate in the preseason, Redick mentioned that the Lakers are “playing the long game with LeBron.”
Last year, James was named to the All-NBA second team after averaging 24.4 points, 8.2 assists, and 7.8 rebounds, while maintaining good health and playing in 70 games. Redick stated that the Lakers aim to keep James in optimal health throughout the season, with the goal of being ready for the playoffs.
Gabe Vincent, who experienced an issue with his left knee, newcomer Marcus Smart, nursing a left Achilles injury, and rookie Adou Thiero who has a left knee injury also did not fully participate in the Lakers’ first practice.
