Armaan Malik, who took a break from singing a few days ago, recently made several posts against Salman Khan and his production. He has claimed that he was not given credit in the song of the film Hero in the recent post of production. Since then, he started being trolled on social media saying that the same Salman who supported him in his career was criticizing him. Now singer Amaal Malik has also come out in support of his brother on this controversy.
Armaan Malik came out in support of brother Amaal
In response to one such post, Armaan wrote, “Please first create, write or sing an original song. Then see that your name is easily left where it should be.”
He said, “I would like to know how you would feel then. Don’t talk about gratitude. I have always been grateful for my beginning. But I also know how difficult it has been to reach where I have. If we don’t fight for our rights, no one else will.”
Armaan spoke for the credit of brother and lyricist
A fan asked Armaan not to pay attention to trolls. On this he clarified that his reply was to give proper credit to his brother and the lyricist.
Armaan said, “I was really only worried about my brother and the lyricist’s credit. Without them, this song is nothing. Leave alone my credit. I have stopped hoping. You guys are enough for me.”
Know what is the whole controversy?
On September 11, the film Hero, released in 2015, completed 11 years of its release. On this occasion, a post related to the film was shared by Salman Khan Films Production House on Instagram and X account. The songs of this film were composed by Amaal Malik, but he was not given credit in the post.
When the credit was given, Amaal Malik expressed his displeasure and wrote, “How did the person handling the page of Salman Khan Films have the courage to leave out the composer and lyricist? It doesn’t look good.”
He said that the song is made with the hard work, blood, sweat and pain of the musician and lyricist. While celebrating such songs, their creators should be respected and mentioned.
Amaal further wrote, “Learn the basics, otherwise delete this page. Don’t delete my comment. Let Salman sir also see this, so that he knows that you guys have made a mistake.”
Production edited the post and added Amaal’s name.
After Amaal’s post surfaced, Salman Khan’s production house edited the post and added Amaal Malik’s name to it.
Credit has been added by editing the Instagram post, although credit is still not given on X.
Salman Khan gave a break to Amaal
Salman Khan has contributed to Amaal Malik’s career. In 2014, Salman gave Amaal a break as a music composer in Bollywood with his film ‘Jai Ho’. Also, Salman supported Armaan Malik by attending his music album launch.

After this, in the year 2015, Amaal Malik composed the music for Salman Khan’s production house’s film ‘Hero’. The song “Main Hoon Hero Tera” from this film was a blockbuster, which was originally sung by Amaal’s brother Armaan Malik and later Salman Khan himself recorded a special version of it in his voice.

The decision to take a break comes after Amal made several emotional posts over the past few months. In these posts he talked about his struggle in the industry.
In May, he had accused some influential people in the film and music business of marginalizing him. He had claimed that in the last several years he was removed from about five dozen projects.
Regarding his efforts to continue working in Bollywood, Amaal had said, “I have been trying my best for the last 8 years with complete honesty and some respectable working conditions, but sadly it doesn’t work in this place.”
He further added, “My inability to hide the truth about this place and the way it works irritates them further. Because of this, I and my family receive unnecessary threats. There is a group of some very powerful people who do not want me to be a part of their films or any films. It is not just about labels, it has gone beyond that now. It is a mixed syndicate of egoistic people.”
Also spoke on groupism and industry politics
Amaal had claimed that due to industry politics and groupism, his music is less heard in films.
Just two days before announcing the break, Amaal had accused some people from the film and music industry of trying to create a negative atmosphere on social media against him and his work.
Some time ago, Amaal Malik was in the news due to his dispute with composer Tanishk Bagchi. He had written on social media, ‘For almost 10 years I suppressed my anger, but today after a decade I had to come out openly, because no one here stands up for the right thing nor exposes the wrong people in the industry. No one here has the courage to tell the truth, but someone had to do it. I was silent on his wrongdoings and immoral activities for a long time.
Amaal Malik also remained in news due to family dispute
Last year, Amaal Malik had ended relations with his family, blaming them for his depression. Announcing the break with the family in a social media post, Amaal had written, I have now reached a stage where I cannot hide the pain. For years I have been made to feel like I am inferior, even though I work hard day and night to provide a safe life to people. I had all my dreams shattered and found out that people treated me badly and asked what I had done.
He further wrote, ‘My peace has been taken away from me, I have been squeezed emotionally, maybe even financially, but I am not too upset by this. The thing that makes the most difference is that I am clinically depressed because all this is happening. Yes, I can blame myself for my actions, but my self-esteem has often been damaged by the actions of people dear to me. They have stolen pieces of my soul.
Made a comeback from Bigg Boss, gave controversial statements on Uncle Anu Malik
Amidst recovery, Amaal Malik took part in the reality show Bigg Boss 19. In the show, he accused uncle Anu Malik of spoiling the career of father Dabboo Malik. He said that Anu Malik took away the work from his father Dabboo Malik and ruined his career. Amaal claimed that if his father had got work in the industry, Anu Malik would have agreed to work by taking less fees from the producers.
Amal also made allegations against Anu Malik’s wife in Bigg Boss 19. He said that due to financial constraints his family was not given attention. Once he was getting wet on the road, but aunty saw him and rolled up the glass of the car.
After Amaal’s statement came into controversy, his father Dabboo Malik clarified and apologized. In an interview given to Tele Masala, Dabboo Malik said, ‘I am not one of those people who pin point and blame anyone because of them I have not become a person. Perhaps during the ups and downs of my life, such things might have happened on the dinner table or in life, which the children (Amaal, Armaan) might have heard.
‘What he (Amaal) heard, what he saw, what he suffered and what we talked about at the age of 12-15 years remained in his heart and is being processed today. Now I cannot go to Bigg Boss and tell him to stop, what are you saying, but if this thing is hurting anyone and any word or thing seems wrong then I am sorry for that. Because I have no problem with anyone.
Anu Malik’s strange statement on MeToo controversy
In an old interview given to Siddharth Kanan, when he was asked whether you were embarrassed when allegations were made against Anu Malik. To this Amal said, ‘Obviously. Very. I didn’t have the kind of relationship I should have had with him, so I don’t know that man. I don’t know whether he did so or not, but obviously there is Sona, there is Shweta Pandit, many people have raised their voices, so there must be some truth in it. Otherwise why would people come like this and say this?
Amaal Malik has also told that his father Dabboo Malik also believed that the allegations against Anu Malik were true. Amal told that his father had said – ‘There is no smoke without fire. 4-5 people cannot come and say anything about anyone.
