His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai has inaugurated the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad Dubai campus today, September 11.
Pradhan hailed this event as a historic leap towards the globalisation of Indian higher education, in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to establish India as an international knowledge powerhouse.
“This is another big leap towards globalisation of India’s education as envisioned by Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi. IIM Ahmedabad Dubai campus will take the best of India to the world. Dubai, today, has provided the perfect launchpad to the ethos of ‘Indian in spirit, global in outlook’ by hosting the IIM Ahmedabad international campus. Grateful to @HamdanMohammed for adding a glorious leaf to India-UAE knowledge collaboration,” the education minister posted on microblogging platform, X.

One-Year MBA Course
IIM Ahmedabad is offering an one-year MBA course in Dubai for experienced professionals. To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
— A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline from a recognised institution.
— A minimum of four years of full-time work experience after completion of graduation.
— Applicants must be at least 25 years old as of August 31, 2025.
— A valid GMAT or GRE score taken within the last five years.
The admission process involves two stages. Initially, candidates will be shortlisted based on their GMAT/GRE scores, leadership profile, and overall application. Those shortlisted must then submit essays on specific topics within a given timeframe. In the final stage, candidates will undergo a personal interview with a panel of IIM Ahmedabad faculty members, who will evaluate their professional experience, career progression, academic readiness, leadership potential, and overall fit for the programme, according to the official website. The course fee is USD 80,000.
