IGNOU Extends Last Date For July 2025 Online Programme Admissions To October 15

IGNOU extends July 2025 online admission deadline to October 15; students can apply online.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has once again extended the deadline for fresh admissions to its July 2025 session for online programmes. Students who have not yet registered for online distance learning (ODL) and online mode programmes now have until October 15, 2025 to submit their applications.

This extension applies to all online programmes offered by IGNOU, except for certificate and semester-based courses. The full list of programmes is available on the official portal — iop.ignouonline.ac.in. Students can check the courses and apply accordingly.

In a social media post, IGNOU stated: “Last date for submission of Application (except for Certificate and Semester-based Programmes) for Online Programmes offered by IGNOU extended up to 15 October 2025.”

IGNOU has advised that students enrol for online programmes only if they have access to a computer or laptop with internet and are comfortable with online learning. No printed study material is provided for these programmes. Students preferring printed material can opt for the ODL mode through ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.

How To Apply For IGNOU Admissions?

• Visit the official IGNOU website: ignou.ac.in.
• Click on the ‘Register Online’ tab, then select ‘Fresh Admissions’.
• Click on the ‘New Registrations’ tab.
• Fill in all required personal and educational details.
• Set a username and password.
• Submit the details and login using credentials received via email and phone.
• Select the programme you wish to study.
• Upload scanned copies of the required documents: photograph (<100 KB), signature (<100 KB), educational certificates (<200 KB), experience certificate if any (<200 KB), and category certificate if applicable (<200 KB).
• Submit the registration form and keep a copy for future reference.
