ICC has formed a committee to resolve the ongoing Asia Cup trophy dispute between India and Pakistan. In the ongoing Annual General Meeting in Dubai on Friday, he said- ‘Both the countries should decide between themselves.’
ICC Board members emphasized that Pakistan and India are important for the cricket world. They should solve their problems amicably. The board is ready for mediation.
The Indian team won the trophy by defeating Pakistan in the Asia Cup final on 28 September. After the victory, the team refused to accept the Asia Cup trophy from PCB Chief Naqvi. Naqvi is also the Chief of ACC and also the Home Minister of Pakistan.
India had taken this stand in protest against the Pahalgam terrorist attack. After this Mohsin Naqvi came to Dubai hotel with the trophy. Before leaving for Pakistan, he had left this trophy at the ACC office in Dubai.
After winning the Asia Cup trophy, the Indian team celebrated the victory without the trophy.

1. Increase in the number of teams participating in the Women’s World Cup In this meeting, the number of teams participating in the Women’s ODI World Cup was increased from 8 to 10. The International Cricket Council said in a press release that this decision has been taken in view of the success of the Women’s ODI World Cup held in India.
India won its first title in the Women’s World Cup by defeating South Africa by 52 runs in the final held in Navi Mumbai on 2 November. Thousands of fans gathered in the stadium to watch this match. This encouraged ICC to take this decision.

2. Member countries will get 10% more amount ICC member countries will get 10% more money from next year. Because, the Board has approved an increase of about 10% in fund distribution to its member countries for 2026.
3. Took first update on Project USA The ICC has given the first update on ‘Project USA’, which was started after the suspension of American cricket. So that there is no negative impact on the commercial and development of the players of America’s national teams. The project is designed to improve the inclusion of cricket in the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games and the performance of US teams through continued participation in ICC tournaments.
4. Cricket included in African and Pan-American Games Cricket will be re-introduced into the Olympic program in 2028. It is already part of the Asian Games. It will also be included in the list of sports scheduled for the 2027 African Games in Cairo and the 2027 Pan-American Games in the Peruvian capital Lima.
The Indian men’s team won the title of the cricket tournament of the Asian Games to be held in 2023.
5. Mithali-Majumdar included in Women’s Committee The ICC Board has approved the appointment of several members of the Council’s Women’s Cricket Committee, including Ashley de Silva, Mithali Raj, Amol Majumdar, Ben Sawyer, Charlotte Edwards and Sala Stella Siele-Veaa.
